Go ask Alice!

A beautiful bohemian style bag arrived today so thought it is about time introduce you to Go ask Alice, the Auckland based label who creates these leather beauties that you can buy in our shop.

The bags are handcrafted by the clever Emily Mahy. She sews her handbags from recycled leather jackets and also makes satchels and wallets from new leather. When using recycled leather Emily utilises the features and construction of leather jackets to produce beautifully designed individual pieces. We like it that each handbag comes with a picture of the original leather coat it was made of, it has a personal touch and makes you think if the jacket could talk, what stories would it tell about its previous life?

Warning: These tops by Stil walk off the shelves as soon as they come in, and each is very limited addition.

And: They are made right here in Sumner by local fashion genius Holly Liberona from 100% cotton.

Doesn't Billy look dapper!

Now available in English with a sexy hard cover, 'People' by French silkscreen artist Blexbolex is as nice to touch as it is to look at. This book is as much a beautiful object as it is a book, and the cover folds out into a poster, revealing another stunning cover underneath. This book in it's previous edition won the Goldene Letter Award in 2009 for Best Book Design throughout the world.

By the way, we have this book in the shop now.
