One week to go!

Only one week to go until our opening night!

Our trestle tables arrived yesterday. They are made out of recycled doors by a local lass. This one is a sweetie.

To those of you who are coming to the opening you get to drink Black Estate wine - big congratulations to the gang at Black Estate whose 2007 Pinot Noir just won the trophy for best Pinot at the prestigious IWSC (International Wine and Spirits Competition) in the UK, beating the best Pinots in the world! Nice work Digby.

Crocodile

Following much of a kafuffle lining up various tradesmen things are finally moving along at a cracking pace. We ripped up the dusty old carpet the other day and found a crocodile underneath. After 24 hours of sanding and four coats of polyurethene he looks very glamourous indeed!

THE FLOCK SHOP

Sumner's new design store opens in three weeks! Follow our progress as we work magic on this shop and turn it from dowdy to beautiful!

Flock is located by the sea at 43 Nayland Street in Sumner.
We will be opening the doors on Thursday 28th October with a
party for invited guests with generous support from Black Estate Wine. On Friday 29th we will begin trading!

Some of the designers we have on board thus far....

Standard Issue
Kowtow
Aduki
Emma
Flox
Silkbody and Silkbaby
Genevieve packer
Jane Henry
Tymone Winter
Zekiah Heath
Scott Facer
Rata and Ruby
Buttonlove
Vapour Momenta

and many more...

In addition, we are indulging our fascination for vintage objects by sprucing them up to a standard where they can sit in the shop alongside their contemporary object-peers and look great.

So if you like nice things, new and old, we will see you soon.
